Recording
Recordings can be done live or in the studio.
LIVE: CBA Recording brings the studio essentials to each show. For the most demanding situations, we can record eighteen distinct channels and mix in 5.1 surround sound. However, many concerts can be recorded with two well-placed microphones. Our approach is professional, and pristine quality is simply a given.
SESSION: For studio sessions, we can procure a nice
performance space or we can bring the studio to your preferred location. Booking a dedicated recording session gives you time to work out mistakes and perform multiple takes. There is also more time for creative experimentation with unusual mics, placements, and preamps.
We have several recording rigs for different situations and budgets. Listed below are the core-components of each set-up. We may augment each rig with comparable equipment to customize it for your session. Full-day block-outs are available for extended recording sessions. Download a PDF of rates.

Other:
For some recordings, we work in tandem with your live engineer. We can use a splitter snake or the
board’s direct-outs for extensive multi-tracking. Or we can record and edit the 2-track stereo signal from the board at
your show.
For voice-over work, we can provide an iso-booth and a variety of mics for the talent.
Mixing/Mastering:
Want to record music on your own but have it mixed by a professional? It can be a great way to pump up that almost there recording.
Mixing starts at $30 an hour.
Videography:
CBA has several associates proficient in
videography. If you want a video of your performance, send an email to discuss
quality, complexity, and costs.
